Open-source licenses
FileTone is built on the work of many open-source projects. This page lists every third-party component sent to your browser, with its exact version, its license and a link to the source code of exactly that version.
The video compatibility engine (FFmpeg, built as ffmpeg.wasm) is distributed under the GNU GPL version 2 or later, and the HEIC decoder (heic-to with libheif) under the GNU LGPL version 3. You may get, study, change and redistribute their source code under those licenses; our terms do not limit these rights. The license texts are also stored next to the engines themselves.
The site’s own code and design are not open source: see the Terms of Use.
