How to use

- Pick the output format; for ICO choose the icon sizes, for SVG the width.
- Adjust the quality for JPG, WebP or AVIF and press Start.
- Compare the result with the original and download the files or a ZIP.
JPG is best for photos, PNG for screenshots and transparency, WebP and AVIF give the smallest files for websites, ICO is for favicons and Windows icons, TIFF for lossless archives.
Almost everything runs in your browser. Only AVIF (and WebP in old Safari) is written on our server, because browsers can’t create these files yet; such files are deleted right after conversion.

Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos you want to share, PNG for screenshots and logos, WebP or AVIF for websites, ICO for a favicon.
Are my images uploaded?
Only when you choose AVIF (or WebP in an old Safari): then the files are converted on our server and deleted right away. All other formats never leave your device.
How do I make a favicon?
Choose a square PNG or SVG, pick ICO and the sizes 16, 32 and 48 px (add 256 for Windows), and press Start.
Does it keep EXIF data?
No, converted images do not include EXIF metadata such as GPS location.
