Compress image to a specific size (KB)
Set the size you need — for example 100 KB for an online form — and get the best-looking photo that fits.
We find the best quality that fits your size limit.
Private by design: this tool works entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our server. Free, no sign-up, no watermark.
How to use
- Choose one or more photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC).
- Enter the target size in KB or pick a preset like 50 KB or 100 KB.
- Press Start. The tool finds the highest quality that stays under your limit.
- Download the compressed photos one by one or all together as a ZIP.
Government portals, job sites and exam registrations often accept photos only up to 20, 50 or 100 KB. Instead of guessing the JPEG quality, this tool searches for the best quality that fits your limit and only shrinks the picture dimensions if quality alone is not enough.
Everything happens on your device, so even large batches are fast and your photos stay private.
Frequently asked questions
How do I compress a photo to exactly 100 KB?
Type 100 in the target size field (or tap the 100 KB preset), add your photo and press Start. The result will be at most 100 KB — usually just below it, which is the best quality possible for that size.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Compression runs in your browser with JavaScript. The photos never leave your device.
Will the photo lose quality?
Some quality loss is unavoidable when a file gets much smaller, but the tool always keeps the highest quality that fits. For moderate reductions the difference is usually invisible.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP and iPhone HEIC photos. The result is JPG or WebP, which compress much better than PNG.
Can I compress many photos at once?
Yes. Add as many photos as you like and download them all as a single ZIP file.
