Copyright and DMCA policy

FileTone respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same.

How the service handles content

We do not host or publish user content. Files uploaded to server tools are processed automatically, are available only to the person who uploaded them (through a random, unguessable link) and are deleted one hour after processing. There is no public list of files.

Vocal remover and audio tools

Separating vocals and instrumentals does not grant any rights to the music. Use these tools only with recordings you own or have permission to use (for example for personal practice, or with a license). Publishing or selling results made from copyrighted songs may infringe the rights of their owners.

Ebooks

Our ebook converter does not remove DRM. Only DRM-free books can be converted.

Reporting infringement

If you believe that our service is being used to infringe your copyright, send a notice to (the address will be published soon) with:

  1. identification of the copyrighted work;
  2. a description of the infringing activity and any links or identifiers (for example a download link from our service);
  3. your contact information;
  4. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  5. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

We respond to valid notices promptly. Because files are deleted automatically within an hour, most reported content will already be gone; we will also take steps against repeat abuse.
