How to use
- Choose a video — MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI or GIF.
- Pick the format: a video format, GIF, or MP3/M4A/WAV/OGG to keep only the sound.
- Optionally set quality, resolution and frame rate, and choose a part: play the preview and press “Start here” / “End here”.
- Press Start, check the preview and download the result.
When only the container changes (for example MKV to MP4 with the same H.264 video) and quality is “Same as original”, the video is copied without re-encoding — instantly and without any loss. Otherwise fast encoder presets keep waiting short.
MP4 (H.264) plays everywhere; WebM is great for websites; MOV for Apple editing apps; MKV keeps everything; AVI for old players.

Which format should I choose?
MP4 if you are not sure — it plays on every phone, computer and TV, and every website accepts it.
How do I make a video smaller?
Choose MP4, quality “Small file” and 720p or 480p. Cutting out only the part you need helps most.
Is there a limit?
Free processing handles a few minutes of video and up to 720p (see the note under the tool). Choose a part with Start and End for longer videos.
Is the sound kept?
Yes, unless you tick “Remove sound”. For MP3, M4A, WAV and OGG only the sound is saved.
